Stupid get rich books

I sniggered at this piece of news.

2006 saw an avalanche of best-selling business books, most of which promised to teach people how to become wealthy quickly and easily. Many of these books offered misleading, contradictory or just plain bad advice, says businessman and author Keith J. Cunningham.

“The only people getting rich off of this glut of incredibly stupid ‘millionaire’ books are the folks who wrote them,” says Cunningham, author of Keys to the Vault.

For Cunningham, who has mentored thousands of successful business people, the worst offenders advise readers that the way to get rich is through passive income — which means you do nothing and the money will do it for you. “They mistakenly think there is no need be active in your business or your investments,” he says.

Is he referring to the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad?

According to Cunningham, the key to building and sustaining wealth is to learn and master critical business skills and the most important skill a business person can have is financial literacy, the ability to read and understand financial statements.

Well, I don’t know this man but I like what he says.  Come on, there are so many people who falls for such get rich overnight myths.  Worst are those who fall for scams because they think that some schemes are going to make them millionaires overnight.  Or while they sleep.  Greed and an unrealistic view of the real world is what these people possess.

Married women favours Matthew McConaughey for Jennifer Aniston

A poll conducted on September 20 to October 23, 2006 from Woman’s Day magazine (womansday.com) and AOL.com revealed that 31% of married women find actors Ben Affleck and Will Smith to be the sexiest married male celebs, outpacing Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey).

When asked to play matchmaker for current single stars, 47% voted Jennifer Aniston’s perfect mate to be sexy, shirtless Matthew McConaughey - more than three times the
percentage who believe her Mr. Right is former Friends love interest, David
Schwimmer.

In addition, a majority of survey participants said they would match Jessica Simpson with Josh Lucas, Katie Couric with George Clooney and Teri Hatcher with John Stamos.
