Save time by ordering online

608933_rose_birthday_cake.jpgIt’s great to be able to view and order items online without having to travel down to the stores.  It’s so much more convenient and you can practically do it anytime at your convenience.

I kept wanting to order a birthday cake for days but didn’t have the time to head to the shop to do this.  Fortunately, I remember they have an online service and I can just check out the cake online and order via a phone call.  It was all completed within 10 minutes and that saved me at least half an hour or more if I were to order at the stores.

Small business loans to meet unexpected cash flow problems

At one point or another, small businesses run into some cash flow problems.  This is true especially for businesses that are sandwiched between their customers and their suppliers.  Small advertising companies are a good example of businesses that can potentially run into cash flow issues.

In order for such businesses to resolve those unexpected cash flow problems, one way is for them to obtain small business loans, such as those offered by EZUnsecured.com which provides fast funding with easy process and great service.  No hassles, no waiting time and most importantly, being able to get the fund quickly to meet their urgent business needs.

So instead of constantly having to worry about their financial position, small businesses can now focus their attention on building relationships and improving their bottomline.

Taxi fares have gone up again

The state of inflation over in Singapore is really depressing.  Everything is going up, up, up with no signs of relenting.  Since the introduction of the 7% GST, things are getting out of hand.  Just last week, our transport charges have gone up again for the Nth time.  Taxi fares have risen, so have the bus fares.

I don’t know how the taxi drivers are going to cope because it’s now really expensive to ride on them anywhere.  Many people have said it is probably cheaper to drive their own cars, considering that it is now cheaper to buy a car (though not necessary cheap to own it).  Plus, there are so many new taxis on the road now.  Life is just going to get tougher for them with so much competition and lesser demand.

Oh, and something else has also gone up amidst all these.  Our minister’s pay package.

International call cards for greater savings

We all know that making international phone calls are expensive but there are ways to save some of those calls.  Instead of relying on land lines, use international calling cards which can shave a lot of expenses off your monthly phone bills.

There are currently many companies that offer phone cards or calling cards which allows you to make calls to anyway in the world.  GetMeCallingCards.com for example not only has a great variety of calling cards even provide calling card that have state of the art Automatic Number Identification (ANI) recognition system that allows pinless dialing.  Some of their calling cards are also rechargeable; meaning customers can refill the minutes on the same calling card.  On top of that, the company offers calling cards that offer 3% cash back on every purchase.

So if you have to make frequent international phone calls and are thinking of saving yourself some expenses, switch to call cards now instead of continuing with that land line.

How to get rid of bed bugs

When you live in a home for awhile, there are bound to be some problems that you have to fix.  It could be cracks on the floor, molds on the wall or even bed bugs!

I was reading this website covering bed bugs guide and found out that when your bed is infested with bed bugs, you don’t necessarily need to toss it out especially since your bed is likely to be expensive.  An eaiser way to get rid of bed bugs is to use mattress encasements, which are plastic, bug-proof covers for your mattress that you zip around the outside.   Such covers keep bed bugs from getting into the mattress - and if you’ve already got them, it traps the existing ones inside.  The bugs will still live on the mattress for up to six months or so but eventually they will die off.  And in the mean time, they won’t be bothering you.

A rather simple solution, and definitely much more cost effective than throwing out that expensive mattress for sure!
