Those planning to have an online presence via their own website needs to be selective about their web host.  Apart from the cost, there is also a need to consider how well they respond to customer service.  This is most important if the server is down and you need some support immediately.  In fact, finding a web hosting company can be a confusing one with so many of them trying to compete in terms of better price and better packages.

Online social networking and marketing

I’m beginning to see the power of social networking and social marketing.  It’s all about sharing and if you are proactive enough, you can garner enough community interest to help you rake up your traffic numbers.

A few bloggers have also started to send out emails everytime they want us to help with stumbling or giving some linky love.  This is good but when done too often, can also backfire. I have so far only tried to ask for a favor once and I did experience a record increase in traffic because of that.  However, I would hesitate to do it again because  I can already see the interesting waning and lesser people are doing it as a favor.

So social networking and marketing is getting bigger but exactly how long we can sustain the interest is another question.

Plan your window treatments well

Homes today have far more windows than in the past and in some cases, windows are even entire walls.  Hence, when it comes to window treatments, it is important to consider design as well as function.

Homeowners need to consider about privacy, light control, as well as if they trying to preserve a view.  In addition, people should also understand that window coverings can help reduce heating costs or air-conditioning costs because of their insulating value.

Thus, window treatments should be planned during the construction phase or when homeowners are about to redecorate their current home, and not be left as an after thought especially since there are many stores providing a wide selection of window curtains and blinds.

Take JustBlinds.com which provide window blinds with styles ranging from the basic to the latest in window decorating trends for example. As an Internet retailer with a virtual showroom and no catalog or warehouse, they have maintained very little overhead and kept their costs to a minimum, meaning it will be even much more cost effective for homeowners to purchase their goods.

If you’re looking at window treatments, you would want to check out this online resource for their wide selection of stylish blinds as well as to save some costs.

Increase sales with social networking sites

Social networking sites are growing with many more people going online to socialize and expand their cyber circle.  While people do get weary after awhile, there are always newcomers who are keen to explore these sites.   Hence, the potential is still present.

There are even reports of retailers using social networking sites to improve their profile and increase their sales revenue.  Smaller online entrepreneurs are also using Myspace to promote their stuff and a few have even been able to make a tidy sum.  Somehow the effect of reading words lend more credibility to a product and service.

I think I might want to give Myspace another look again and see how I can use it for affiliate marketing.  I have not done anything at all and it’s just a dormant space waiting to be explored.

Pick whole food supplements for better nutrients

840600_pills.jpgThe global nutraceuticals market has been growing due to various factors.  Higher income levels, greater awareness of health and nutrition coupled with growing availability of scientific evidence linking diet and health have fueled the widespread preferences for specialty nutritional and herbal products.  In addition, an expanding elderly population, as well as escalating costs associated with healthcare, are also pushing the demand for self-medication and healthy foods.

But with so many choices readily available on every health food or grocery shelf plus the lure of “designer” drugs” which promise everything from a cure for baldness to shedding unwanted pounds in just 10 days, it’s becoming increasing difficult for consumers to sufficiently choose which supplement is the right and effective.

Therefore consumers need to be selective about buying such supplements. According to Choice Nutritionals which has a selection of nutritional supplements, most vitamin and mineral supplement companies attempt to chemically isolate specific nutrients, delivering them to the body in a form that can be unrecognizable and difficult for the body to digest. When these products are consumed, biochemical imbalances and nutrient deficiencies in the body may result.

In fact, it is better to consume whole food supplements which is taken from pure, raw foods in their natural, balanced states because these give nutrients our bodies can recognize and utilize.
