Acne woes for teenage boys

According to news report, an article scheduled to be published in May in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology suggests skim milk causes acne in teenage boys.

According to the researchers’ conclusion:

We found a positive association between intake of skim milk and acne. This finding suggests that skim milk contains hormonal constituents, or factors that influence endogenous hormones, in sufficient quantities to have biological effects in consumers.

Acne is really a nuisance for teenagers, both boys and girls.  Many I know spent their time and money seeking the best acne treatment in the hope to get blemish-free skin.  However, it’s just that for some of them, their hormones really wreak havoc and they need special acne treatments by looking up the dermatologist.

However, for those with a milder acne problems, there are various acne treatment products in the market they can choose from.  And even if they have recovered from their problem, they need to maintain their skin care regime to prevent further outbreaks.

Students finding it hard to secure study loans

With the slow down in economy, students are also facing the crunch when it comes to paying their tuition fees.  Many of them try to work part-time to cover their education cost but most of them are finding it stressful to juggle work and study.

Hence, financial institutions like Next Student which offers student loans are a blessing for those financially needy students.  This is especially so because students are considered a risky group to lend money to and many big banks are unwilling to extend them college loans.

As a result, some students have had to drop out of college altogether since they have no means to obtain any form of private student loans.  And this is such a pity because this not only affects the student’s future but has a direct impact on the country as well since they could possibly be nurtured to become the next leaders if given the right opportunity.

Plants for an element of life

baroque.jpgPlants are a great way to add visual interest to a home or an office.  In fact, well decorated planters give an element of live and brings a fresh perspective to an otherwise dull corner.

You can of course pick your own from the nursery for the home but for an office, I would think getting expert services from the professionals will be more appropriate as they’re in the position to product depth, knowledge, low prices and customer service.  For example, you can consider one like Planterixchange, which is dedicated to bringing the widest selection of high quality residential and commercial decorative planters on the Internet.

So if you’re looking to decorate your new home or new office, consider putting up indoor or outdoor planters to bring an element of life and interest to your new corner.

Free online image resizing tool

I didn’t know until today that there are free image resizing tools online.  What a shame I wasn’t aware of this earlier!

I always need to resize images and most of the time I do it manually but I can never get the ideal size according to my needs.  I can probably use photoshop for this purpose but I find it really troublesome.

So today I did a google and bingo, I find a few free online tools to meet my purpose.  The one I’m using is resizd.com and all I need to do is to upload my image, then put in the size I want and save the output!  Really simple to use!

Now I don’t have to crack my head about getting the size of the image to fit my page.  All I need is to use the free tool.
