Partial feed problem resolved
Sometime ago I wrote about my problems with publishing partial feeds and I’m happy to report that I’ve found a solution!
My problem was despite selecting publishing partial feeds, my feeds came out as full feeds. This was due to another plugin I was using but couldn’t removed. Recently, I decided to use Feedsmith from Feedburner to redirect all my feed count and this did something more for me. It redirected all my feeds to Feedburner as well. Because I’ve activated partial feeds under Feedburner, all my feeds are coming out exactly as that. I have no more problems worrying about having my full feeds scaped now!
So for those who have a similar problem as me, then you might want to check out Feedsmith. But remember, you have to activiate your partial feed under Feedburner for this to work.
Wordpress automatic upgrade plugin
I finally upgraded this blog to Wordpress version 2.5.1. I was dragging my feet because the manual upgrade takes such a long time. Since changing our router, I have to take like half a day to complete the entire process. What I didn’t realize was that I can upgrade it easily within 2 minutes using a wordpress automatic plugin!
It’s the best plugin that I ever have installed. I should have come across it earlier. It’s easy to install and use and everything was completed before I knew it. In fact, my site only experienced a momentary downtime.
Check it out here!
Statcounter is down
I love using statcounter and looking at the numbers everyday. I admit. I spent a lot of time staring at those numbers! So you can imagine how desperate I was when it was all gone because they’re currently suffering from a serious service outage.
Anyway, I think the folks at Statcounter are an excellent bunch. They’re very prompt in keeping their members updated on the service status, even though many of us are using the free version. They set up a thread on the forum and kept us all infomed of the updated status almost every hour or so.
Truly commendable!
